Responsibilities

• Assist the supervising physical therapist with evaluation support, exercise facilitation, and treatment plan implementation for LTAC patients
• Lead and monitor therapeutic exercises focused on mobility, strength, balance, and endurance; adapt activities to patient goals and safety
• Provide gait training, transfers, ADL assistance, and functional mobility tasks as directed
• Document patient progress, update treatment notes, and communicate changes to the care team in a timely manner
• Monitor patient response to interventions; address safety concerns and infection control protocols; maintain equipment and room cleanliness
  
  

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Maryland or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a PTA, preferably in LTAC or inpatient rehabilitation
• Ability to work effectively in a geriatric long-term care setting
• CPR/BLS certification
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
• Willingness to participate in facility orientation and comply with policies
