
HOURLY RATE (DEPENDING ON SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): $23.00 - $25.00
SCOPE: A Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting physicians and nurses in providing patient care. This role involves both clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth healthcare operations.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Duties:
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
- Take and record patients' medical histories and vital signs.
- Assist physicians during physical examinations.
- Administer medications or treatments under supervision.
- Collect samples for laboratory tests and perform basic lab tests.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in examination rooms.
- Administrative Duties:
- Schedule patient appointments and manage appointment scheduling software.
- Handle patient inquiries, billing, and insurance verification.
- Record patient information such as test results in medical records.
- Order and maintain medical supplies and equipment.
- Answer phone calls and manage patient records.
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role.
- Medical Assistant diploma or certificate of completion from a Medical Assisting program.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage workload efficiently.
- Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accurate records.
- Empathetic and patient-focused attitude.

- Working hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am -5:00pm
