For over 30 years, Cotler Psychology Services has been recognized as a leader in geriatric mental health care. Founded by Dr. Kerry Cotler, the organization collaborates with more than 160 long-term care communities across the state. The mission is simple but powerful: to improve the mental well-being and daily lives of seniors through compassionate, evidence-based psychological services. Clinicians at Cotler Psychology Services are trusted to make clinical decisions without interference from administrative pressure, ensuring that patients receive care tailored to their individual needs.
Why This Opportunity Is Unique
Unlike corporate-driven healthcare models that prioritize productivity metrics, this position offers an environment that values clinical expertise, autonomy, and meaningful patient interactions. You will work directly with older adults who face a wide variety of challenges, including mood and cognitive disorders, grief, adjustment to chronic illness, and other life transitions. Your work will be highly impactful, as many of the patients you serve rely on professional guidance to maintain emotional balance, cope with medical changes, and navigate the complexities of aging.
What You'll Receive
- Flexible Schedule: Set your own hours and choose the communities you wish to serve. Balance your work and personal life while having control over your professional commitments.
- Competitive Compensation: Earn $70–$105 per hour, with mileage reimbursement opportunities for travel between facilities.
- Comprehensive Administrative Support: Internal staff manage billing, insurance credentialing, scheduling, and referral coordination so that you can focus entirely on patient care.
- Training and Ongoing Support: Orientation to our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, access to clinical training modules, and one-on-one virtual consultations with experienced specialists ensure that you feel fully prepared to succeed.
- Ethical Autonomy: No quotas or financial targets. Your clinical decisions are entirely in your hands, allowing you to practice ethically and effectively.
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D.)
- Active Florida license or imminent eligibility for licensure
