Kairos Recruitment partners with startups and scale-ups to hire across their business, from first hires through to growth-stage leadership. We work exclusively, embed deeply with founders, and take their employer brand to market under their company pages, where appropriate!
We sit inside a wider ecosystem that includes Aussie Founders Club, PeopleStack, and community-led hiring tools, content, and surveys. That ecosystem drives warm, high-quality demand. No transactional agency work.
I'm now looking for a Recruitment Partner to work alongside me as my first hire to help build the next phase of Kairos!
Why This Role Exists
Kairos has been founder-led and founder-delivered. The work is there, the demand is there, and the opportunity is there.
What’s needed is someone in the trenches who can own delivery, help shape how recruitment is done, and grow into a bigger role as the business grows.
This role exists to:
- Take ownership of sourcing and candidate management
- Increase speed and quality of delivery
- Support the build of our uniquely scalable recruitment engine without sacrificing quality
- Free up my capacity to deepen client relationships, bring in new work, and focus on strategic and ecosystem-level growth
Recruitment Delivery
- Sourcing candidates across a wide range of startup and scale-up roles
- Proactively engaging talent through outbound sourcing and market mapping
- Running first-stage screening and qualification calls
- Managing candidates through interview processes end-to-end
- Writing and iterating job ads under client company pages
- Maintaining a strong, human candidate experience
- Spotting what’s slowing things down and improving it
- Suggesting tools, workflows, or experiments to improve delivery
- Owning outcomes
- Supporting the Aussie Founders Club jobs newsletter
- Curating roles from clients and the wider founder community
- Contributing practical recruitment content and insights
- Building your own personal brand alongside the business
- You’ll work directly with me - the founder (Megan Luttrell). I am deeply embedded in the startup ecosystem
- You’ll recruit for high-quality, exclusive startup and scale-up clients (who do cool sh*t)
- You won’t need to have to do any cold business development
- You’ll have real autonomy and trust from day one
- You’ll help shape processes, products, and how recruitment is done
- We'll shape your pathway into account and client ownership
- You’ll grow your visibility, network, and personal brand along the way
This Role Is Likely a Great Fit If You
- Have real experience in recruitment resourcing
- Can source independently and confidently
- Enjoy ownership and responsibility
- Are curious, hungry, and impact-driven
- Want to grow into account management and client ownership
- Are excited by startups, community, and building something meaningful
- Need to be taught how to use sourcing tools from scratch like LinkedIn Recruiter (I can help you refine your skills though!)
- Want narrow, repeatable agency work
- Avoid ambiguity or responsibility
- Expect heavy direction
