Solution Architect

Job Purpose

To design, develop, and oversee high-level solutions that align with business objectives, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and compliant with Bank’s policies and local regulations while serving as a bridge between business objectives and technical execution by collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and optimized solutions, drive system integration, and champion modern technology practices across all digital solutions.

Major Areas of Responsibility

• Develop solution architectures that meet business requirements while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals and provide technical direction.
• Create system design documents, including architecture diagrams, process flows, and data models.
• Evaluate and recommend technology options, conducting feasibility assessments.
• Ensure solutions are flexible, scalable, and adaptable to changing needs.
• Identify potential risks associated with the technical implementation and propose mitigation strategies.
• Ensure solutions comply with security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
• Create and maintain documentation on architecture decisions, solution design, and security considerations.
• Collaborate with development teams, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure effective solution delivery.
• Present complex ideas to stakeholders and promote understanding of architecture decisions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members.
• Research and stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Business Information Technology and/or related fields.
• Minimum seven years of experience in IT field with at least three years in solution architecture and/or similar roles.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale, complex systems.
• Strong understanding of architectural patterns and frameworks (e.g., microservices, SOA, serverless).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strategic thinking and the ability to see the "big picture" and align solutions with business goals.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, or TOGAF.
• Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) for agile projects is a plus.
