Position Overview

The Project Coordinator supports the execution and administration of broadband deployment projects by managing schedules, coordinating permitting activities, and facilitating contractor and agency communication. This role ensures all project milestones are tracked, documented, and communicated, and that regulatory and operational standards are consistently met.

The Project Coordinator works closely with senior leadership, contractors, permitting agencies, and internal teams to maintain alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budgets.

Essential Functions

Project Coordination: Oversee daily administrative work for projects, tracking milestones, permits, and progress metrics to ensure projects stay on schedule.

Permitting and Agency Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for

municipal, state, and tribal permitting. Oversee the submission, tracking, and follow-up of permits to ensure timely approvals and compliance.

Communication and Reporting: Deliver weekly progress reports and daily status updates to senior leadership; escalate issues and track resolution progress as needed.

Documentation & Records: Ensure all records related to permitting, agency correspondence, inspections, and project milestones are accurately maintained and readily accessible.

Task Prioritization: Manage shifting priorities and interruptions while maintaining focus on time-sensitive and high-impact deliverables.

Qualifications

Additional responsibilities may be assigned to support organizational needs.

Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, or a related field.

2+ years of project coordination, permitting, or administrative experience, ideally in infrastructure, utilities, telecommunications, or construction industries.

Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly MS Project and Excel

2+ years of experience in project coordination, ideally within construction or engineering sectors.

Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, and other project management tools.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Preferred

Experience working with tribal governments or rural municipalities.

Understanding of NTIA, FCC, or USDA broadband funding mechanisms.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, or related field.

PMP or CAPM certification is a plus.

Working Conditions

Standard office hours Monday through Friday, with flexibility based on project needs and supervisor approval.

Occasional travel may be required for meetings, site visits, or inspections.

May involve occasional after-hours response to project issues or agency communications.
