Location: Hybrid - Thousand Oaks, CA

Employment Type: Contingent Worker (Contract, W2)

Contract Length: 11 months

Compensation: $67 to $77 per hour (based on experience)


Summary of the Role

Join the CMC Integration team within Operations Product Advancement for a large biotech pharmaceutical leader as a Senior Project Manager. You will partner with technical leads to manage key project workstreams, coordinate resource management insights, and ensure cross functional alignment and communication. This role combines tactical project execution with support for project governance and technology integration. Your leadership will help drive decisions, enable risk visibility, and support the achievement of key project milestones.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support cross functional project workstreams for resource management initiatives
  • Prepare meeting agendas, facilitate discussions, document decisions, and communicate outcomes
  • Partner with technical leads to identify deliverables and ensure functional and executive alignment
  • Track execution plans and manage integration of interdependent project activities
  • Drive communication of plans, timelines, and critical path activities across teams
  • Collect, analyze, and assemble business information for decision making and reporting
  • Monitor project risks and support development and tracking of mitigation plans
  • Establish and maintain team collaboration sites and shared workspaces
  • Incorporate lessons learned and best practices into project processes and tools


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in resource management within a complex, matrixed organization
  • Strong workstream management skills, including agenda preparation and documenting decisions and actions
  • Ability to anticipate team needs, facilitate goal setting, and support accountability
  • Comfortable asking clarifying questions and mediating to achieve team alignment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to partner with technical and cross functional teams
  • Proficiency in meeting management, documentation, and follow up tracking
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related life sciences industry preferred
  • Familiarity with project governance in a regulated environment preferred
  • Background with technology or data integration in resource management preferred

  • Effective meeting management, including planning, facilitation, and clear communication of outcomes


Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Identify key deliverables and track and manage execution plans for assigned workstreams
  • Align teams at both functional and executive levels through structured meetings and proactive communication
  • Leverage technical and leadership skills to facilitate positive project outcomes and remove roadblocks
  • Integrate activities across teams with a focus on critical path, dependencies, and communication of timelines
  • Analyze and synthesize information for business analysis, dashboards, and executive reporting
  • Communicate project risks, issues, and status, and monitor mitigation and action plans
  • Organize and lead meetings, including agenda development, minutes, action item tracking, and follow up communications
  • Manage team collaboration platforms and repositories, and document project learnings and best practices
