Description

XTIVIA: Data Warehouse Architect

Work Location: Remote

Duration: 3+ Months Contract

Start Date: January 1st or 2nd week

How You Will Make a Difference

Seeking a highly skilled Data Warehouse Architect to evaluate, analyze & design future ready enterprise data warehouse (EDW) solutions and create a road-map to onboard multiple data sources as per business need. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in data modeling, Data Engineering, and data integration, ensuring that the organization's data infrastructure is scalable, efficient, and optimized for analytics, reporting and AI needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing data sources, architectures, data flows, data models and reporting.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to understand current and future data requirements and translate them into robust solutions and design.
  • Evaluate data quality, consistency, and compliance with governance standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend data warehouse technologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Define to be a data warehouse data model as per EDW standards and high level logical and physical data models.
  • Evaluate and recommend data warehouse technologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Review data integration, storage, and data retrieval processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Advise on best practices for cloud migration, data security, and compliance.
  • Design and present a scalable and high-performance data warehouse architecture to business and IT stakeholders.
  • Work closely with data analysts, data engineers and IT/business stakeholders to implement, and maintain scalable and high-performance data warehouse solutions.

Requirements

What you bring to your new team

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience (8+ years) in designing and implementing data warehouse solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling (star schema, snowflake schema, data vault schema) and dimensional modeling.
  • Proficiency in modern ETL tools.
  • Experience with SQL and database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, Snowflake, Databricks Redshift, BigQuery, etc.).
  • Implementation experience of cloud data warehouse platforms and architectures.
  • Experience evaluating and proposing future ready enterprise data warehouses roadmap.
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Experience with cloud data warehouse assessment (Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and compliance requirements, data quality and data security best practices.
  • Certifications in data management, cloud platforms, or data architecture.
