
Duties & Responsibilities (shall include but not be limited to):
- Meet the satisfaction of the rig needs in terms of logistics (import/export, shipments, movement of material to and from all the hubs to the warehouse).
- Promote and maintain an efficient and effective working relationship and communication with other departments, shore-based materials department, third-party personnel, and Operations representatives ensure service satisfaction.
- Expedite and follow up with Logistics Service Provider(s) for all on hand materials.
- Perform day to day Logistics Coordination and related operational activities.
- Comply with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Shipping Profiles for the handling of material to and from the rigs following the company policies and procedures.
- Contact with the rigs to provide operational support regarding expected shipments and arrival dates and any other logistical needs.
- Handle the repair and return process in terms of logistics, including preparation of documentation, liaison with vendors.
- Ensures internal alignment of common goals and objectives to support internal operations while continually searching for improvement opportunities in the transportation process.
- Timely reporting with the status and spent of all shipments.
- Responsible for export shipping request accuracy including descriptions, value, dangerous goods declaration, controlled goods, harmonized tariff codes, country of origin, etc.
- Close management and coordination of the vendors in freight, brokerage, and freight forwarding.
- Review as needed the existing global freight forwarding contract and contribute to improvement.
- Carry out assigned duties in a safe manner according to Company policies and procedures.
- Review and verify and acknowledge vendor payments related to logistics.
- Coordinate with vendors and Accounts Payable for dispute resolutions.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, operation, logistics or supply chain management, with previous working experience in logistics, freight forwarding and/or shipping.
- Proficient use in IT, in particular Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Highly organized with the ability to organize own workload and ability to meet deadlines.
- Efficient and effective administrative, communication and negotiation skills.
