Job Description

We are seeking a Building Automation Helpdesk Technician to join our growing team. This role serves as the first line of support for clients experiencing issues with their Building Management Systems (BMS). You’ll troubleshoot remotely, assist field technicians, and ensure service tickets are accurate and prioritized effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound client calls and emails related to building automation issues.
  • Remotely connect to customer sites to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve:
    • HVAC controls communication or logic issues
    • Access control or badge reader malfunctions
    • Lighting control and scheduling problems
    • Network and software connectivity issues
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the Service queue with detailed notes and diagnostics.
  • Review technician notes for clarity and accuracy before ticket closure.
  • Schedule service technicians and coordinate with customers for site access and timing.
  • Maintain documentation in the company CRM and ticketing system.
  • Provide excellent customer service and professional communication at all times.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in building automation, HVAC controls, or similar technical support role.
  • Working knowledge of building management systems (Delta Controls, Siemens, or similar).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with remote desktop tools, Microsoft Office, and ticketing systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks communication protocols.
  • Experience with enteliWEB, Desigo CC, or other common BAS front ends.
  • Understanding of HVAC mechanical systems and electrical fundamentals.
