The Student Learning and Progress (SLP) Division offers a range of highly successful educational products and services intended to support and promote high quality educational provision and outcomes globally. SLP delivers ACER’s research and evidence-based expertise to schools and school systems through a range of products and services.


ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY


We are seeking a proactive and confident Project Officer to join the System and School Services team within our SLP division. Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, this position will be the go-to person for providing administrative support to external clients and projects within the team. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating day‑to‑day project activities to ensure milestones and timelines are met
  • Managing project communications and liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders, including resolving and/or escalating any issues that may arise
  • Assisting with project documentation, reporting and maintaining administrative systems
  • Maintaining and updating databases and online platforms
  • Supporting the facilitation of professional learning with educators across the primary and secondary sectors
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of project, data and administrative processes


ABOUT YOU


To thrive in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Background in teaching or experience working in the Education sector (highly regarded)
  • Experience with maintaining data management and administration systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience providing administrative support to projects or programs
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proactive, solution-focused approach with the ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficiency in other MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Experience in database management and confidence using various online applications


ABOUT THE APPOINTMENT


The anticipated commencement date for this position is May 2026. This appointment is offered on an ongoing, full-time basis and can be located at any of ACER’s offices based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney. Annual salary is within the range of $92,799 – $102,568, plus 17% employer contribution to superannuation.
