Job Description
The Ashoka Anglophone West Africa office is looking for a motivated volunteer who will support staff tasks related to Volunteer Fundraising & Resource Mobilisation. Potential funders include the private sector, foundations, corporate and International NGOs. The volunteer will primarily be responsible for drafting and preparing tailored materials in support of fundraising and resource mobilisation activities. Volunteers will collaborate with us and provide support through:
Volunteer Logistics
Estimated hours required per week: 10-20 hours per week
The estimated duration of the project is: 3-6 months
This position requires being on-site periodically in Lagos Nigeria but also allows for some work to be completed virtually
The office can provide amenities to volunteers such as: Internet

- Fundraising Research: Identify sources of funding and strategic partners for Ashoka in Nigeria, Africa and the West and conduct in-depth research on targeted partners
- Proposal Writing: Support the preparation of tailored programme proposals and pitch materials targeting current and potential partners
- Performing other duties as requested by the CTEACH team

- Teamwork & Communication skills: This will be a partly remote volunteering opportunity. The candidate must be excited to explore new and unique ways to work with, learn from & have fun with their team.
- Proficiency in English and exceptional communication skills (written and spoken)
