Automic Group is expanding our CFO Advisory practice, and we’re looking for an Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You’ll support a portfolio of clients across the full accounting lifecycle — delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality financial reporting while driving process improvement and exceptional client experiences

What You’ll

  • DoPerform core financial accounting activities including AP/AR processing, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and payroll administratio
  • n.Prepare accurate month-end reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations, P&L analysis, supporting schedules, and variance review
  • s.Manage compliance obligations such as BAS, FBT, GST, PAYG, superannuation and payroll tax across applicable jurisdiction
  • s.Support year-end processes including financial statement preparation, audit deliverables, working papers, and data integrity check
  • s.Enhance processes and internal controls, contributing to documentation updates, continuous improvement initiatives, and streamlined workflow
  • s.Assist with financial systems (e.g., Xero) including configuration, maintenance, and development of standardised reporting template
  • s.Apply automation and efficiency principles to improve turnaround times and reporting accurac
  • y.Act as a trusted client contact, responding proactively to queries and building strong knowledge of each client’s operation
  • s.Collaborate with CFO Advisory colleagues and cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive delivery and a consistently high client experienc
  • e.Demonstrate commercial awareness when managing expectations, timelines, and deliverable

  • d).2+ years’ experience in financial accounting, ideally within professional services, outsourced accounting, or CFO adviso
  • ry.Experience with Xero or other cloud-based accounting syste
  • ms.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliation processes, and compliance obligations (BAS, FBT, GST, PAY
  • G).Intermediate to advanced Excel skills; exposure to automation or reporting tools is advantageo
