Responsibilities

The Developer Experience (DX) team designs, builds, and maintains an advanced development environment for Adcubum developers to craft modules and applications on Adcubum Syrius. Our products and responsibilities include:

• JFrog Maven (Artifact Repository)
• Jenkins (Continuous Integration system)
• DevDocs & Dev Portal (Developer documentation and portal)
• Gradle & custom build plugins, Container Signing

Your Dual Role: Senior Engineering & Technical Leadership

Senior Engineering Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software solution design and architecture decisions for developer tools
• Drive high-impact technical initiatives that revolutionize how developers write and ship code
• Design and build next-generation development environments enabling ultra-fast feedback cycles
• Create cutting-edge developer tooling focusing on productivity, testing, and release automation
• Mentor team members on advanced software engineering principles and solution design
• Implement and automate development best practices and strategies
  
  

Technical Leadership Responsibilities

• Lead and manage technical backlog for developer experience tools and platform capabilities
• Prioritize development of build tools, CI/CD enhancements, and developer portal features
• Collaborate with development teams to understand their needs and deliver solutions that improve their workflows
• Provide clear technical direction for developer tooling evolution and technology adoption
• Steer team priorities focusing on maximum developer productivity impact
• Ensure comprehensive code quality assurance and establish review processes for all DX tools
• Coordinate development timelines with teams using our developer experience platform
• Ensure timely escalation of issues affecting developer productivity or release processes
• Act as technical point of contact for developer experience architecture and tooling decisions
• Guide technical decisions for build plugins, CI/CD pipelines, and developer portal enhancements
  
  

Requirements

• Experience: 7+ years of senior-level development experience with proven track record of leading technical teams and owning application development across the full lifecycle
• Architecture & Leadership: Deep expertise in advanced software engineering principles, including structured design methodologies for maintainable architectures and team leadership experience
• Priority Management: Strong skills in technical prioritization and data-driven decision making for engineering productivity
• Ownership / Leadership: 3+ years of experience leading technical teams, mentoring developers, and driving technical initiatives
• CI/CD Excellence: Extensive experience designing and optimizing CI/CD systems (Jenkins preferred) at enterprise scale
• DevOps & Tools: Advanced knowledge of artifact repositories (Maven, JFrog), container workflows (Docker), and build automation
• Build Systems: Senior-level experience with build tools (Gradle, Maven) and scripting (Groovy, Bash, Python)
• Source Control: Advanced understanding of source control management and branching strategies (BitBucket or similar)
• Programming: Strong software development experience in Java or Kotlin, with ability to guide technical decisions
• Quality Leadership: Experience implementing code quality frameworks, automated testing strategies, and leading technical reviews
• Communication & Language: Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset, Good English language skills (German language skills is a plus)
