Role Overview

We are building Indias largest agri-commerce network. You will lead the design, hiring, and management of a 400-member ground force tasked with onboarding retailers onto our platform (Agrim Retailer App). Your mandate is simple but demanding: Lead the ground force to onboard 200k agri-input retailers in 2 years while maintaining CAC discipline.

By leading India's largest ground activation team, you'll ensure retailers across towns and villages join our platform quickly, compliantly, and at the right cost. Crack this, and we unlock the distribution backbone that transforms agri-commerce at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hire and manage a 400-member distributed field activation team across India
  • Design and standardize sales and training processes
  • Drive performance systems (dashboards, tracking, audits) to maximise productivity and control CAC.
  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing to ensure seamless onboarding experience
  • Manage vendors, agencies, and local partners for hiring, logistics, and compliance.

  • Quality of Retailer onboarding
  • A field org structure that scales beyond 400 agents without chaos.

Requirements

  • 10 - 15 years experience in sales force management in industries Insurance, telecom, microfinance, or B2B marketplaces.
  • Strong grasp of unit economics and experience driving CAC discipline.
  • Hands-on with data-driven sales ops (MIS, dashboards, funnel metrics).
  • Proven track record of building and scaling large distributed teams (300+) from scratch.
  • Experience with vendor management for field-force hiring.

We are an asset-light agri-inputs e-commerce platform for retailers

The $50 billion+ agri-inputs industry faces challenges from a diversified, fragmented, and seasonal demand. Traditional supply chains are costly and lack data visibility, leading to inventory losses or unmet demand. Our on-demand tech platform solves these issues by reducing demand and supply mismatches.

We have recently raised $20.5m Series B funds from Asia Impact and BII to strengthen our technology, enhance offerings, and expand operations.

*Problem Statement*
In India, we have a lot of different crops, but our farmers don't have much land. This makes it tough for them to get the right farming supplies at the right time. The brick-and-mortar supply chain has problems like having limited products, too much inventory in stock and working capital, high returns and not being able to give farmers what they need when they need it.

Over 40,000 MSME agri-inputs manufactures rely on this data dark supply chain, but it hurts their profits.

*What's Agrim doing?*
In a perfect world, we would take products from the manufacturers and deliver them directly to the farmers, like how Swiggy and Zomato deliver food.

But it's too expensive to do that for farmers. Plus, farmers also need advice on farming, which requires local knowledge. So, we're creating a platform for local shops that farmers trust. We're making a system where these stores can get the farming supplies they need just-in-time.

We offer a big selection of 30,000+ products to these stores, which is way better than other options.

We use technology to keep our costs low, stay asset-light and make sure we can reach every part of the country. We're focused on making things better bit by bit and letting compounding do the magic.
