Member of the executive Board
Your main tasks
- Leadership: Leading the Clinical Science team (Senior Scientific Director, Head of Clinical Development, Medical Science Liaison), in total a team of approximately 10 Clinical Scientists and Medical Advisors being an active member of the Management Board for the Swiss organization, reporting to the CEO
- Research & Innovation: Translating projects into clinical trials; from study protocol to starting the clinical studies in Switzerland
- Responsible for developing and implementing Investor Initiated Trials in Oncology in Switzerland
- Working closely with all leading oncology clinics across Switzerland
- Scientific check of study protocols and study related publications
- Networking & Partnerships: Build and expand national and international research collaborations (e.g., pharma and biotech partners, International research groups, National Partners and platforms). Represent the institute at leading oncology conferences (ASCO, ESMO, ASH). Build strong relationships with research group leadership, core teams and contribute to the development of a strong research network across cancer types
- Business Development: Develop new partnerships with industry and funding bodies, contribute to grant applications and fundraising, and translate complex research into impactful messages for stakeholders, policymakers, and the public
- Initiating and securing funding for clinical trials, mainly in Switzerland
Your profile
- Medical, pharmaceutical or scientific background (MD/PhD)
- Proven leadership experience (with direct reports)
- Knowing how to collaborate in the field of public health, industry and development/research
- Proven track record in oncology/hematology, with experience in Investigator Initiated Trials (academic record in leading clinical research is a strong plus)
- Experience in setting up and handling clinical trials in Switzerland
- Fluent in English plus German and/or French
