Nature and Scope

The Analytical R&D Intern will support the Analytical Research & Development team by assisting with the review, organization, and basic analysis of data from analytical development activities. The intern will observe and learn from laboratory operations to understand how analytical data is generated and used. Responsibilities include compiling and organizing data in Excel and internal databases, supporting data standardization efforts, and ensuring work is documented in accordance with company procedures and data integrity expectations. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed to support project activities

Internship Project Summary

We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly motivated intern to support the commercial contracting and operations team. An ideal candidate would be hardworking, curious, and insights driven.

Ability to complete the entire 13 -week program (from May 18, 2026 to August 14, 2026) and commit to 40 hours per week. This internship is a will require your ability to onsite in New Albany, OH.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Support Analytical R&D scientists by performing data review, analysis and trending of results generated from analytical development studies such as assay, dissolution, and extractables & leachables (E&L) testing.
  • Observe and shadow analytical activities (e.g., dissolution testing, chromatography, LC-MS analyses) to gain understanding of how data is generated and applied.
  • Compile, clean, standardize and structure data from method development activities and safety assessments to prepare it for downstream analysis and integration into AI-ready databases.
  • Assist subject matter experts in the design and formatting of controlled Excel data sheets and creation of data validation rules, formulas, and automated checks to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Assist with population and maintenance of internal databases, including transferring experimental and literature data into standardized formats.
  • Ensure all work is documented in accordance with company procedures, cGMP/cGxP requirements, and data integrity expectations.
  • Perform other project-related duties as assigned.
  • Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management.

Education Requirements And Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Rising Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent in a related field required.
  • Completed all general undergraduate coursework in General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry.
  • Attention to detail and able to follow instructions and operating procedures.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is highly desirable.

Physical Environment And Requirements

  • While performing duties of the job, incumbent is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; talk and hear.
  • Physically able to wear laboratory protective gowning and equipment, including but not limited to gowning, goggles, face shields, respirators, and protective gloves. PPE and Respirators are essential for the health and safety of employees.
  • Employees must maintain a clean-shaven appearance each working shift to wear tight-fitting respirators properly.
  • Specific vision requirements include 20/20 near vision (can be corrected with eyeglasses or contacts) and color vision.
