What You Will Spark At Amplify
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr IT PLM & Quality Systems Engineer to join our team. The Sr IT PLM & Quality Systems Engineer will support the implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Quality Management Systems (QMS) across our manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for someone eager to shape the digital backbone of a greenfield plant, connecting product engineering and quality processes across the enterprise. In this role, you will help deliver integrated, data-driven solutions that streamline product development, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in building a digital manufacturing foundation from the ground up at a new EV battery plant. You’ll gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies while working alongside industry leaders, directly impacting product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and plant success.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and optimize PLM (Siemens Teamcenter or similar) and QMS (SAP platform or similar) to support engineering & quality operations across the battery plant.
- Configure QMS modules such as CAPA, audit management, document control, non-conformance reporting, and supplier quality management.
- Build intuitive dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights into product quality and operational performance.
- Ensure QMS compliance with ISO 9001 and other regulatory requirements.
- Lead system validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) for all quality-related applications.
- Configure PLM modules for BOM management, engineering change management, document control, and lifecycle workflows.
- Integrate PLM and QMS with other enterprise systems (ERP, MES, WMS, LIMS) to create a connected, digital manufacturing ecosystem.
- Drive real-time quality monitoring and automate key metrics for production and product performance.
- Partner with quality and engineering teams to identify root causes of issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Enhance New Product Introduction (NPI) and Engineering Change Management (ECM) processes to accelerate product launches.
- Continuously improve processes to reduce costs, boost quality, and streamline collaboration between engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.
- Maintain compliance with ISO, APQP, and FDA (if applicable) standards.
- Collaborate closely with Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to identify inefficiencies and implement automated workflows.
- Provide training and support to ensure user adoption of PLM and QMS platforms.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for system troubleshooting and enhancements.
- Act as a bridge between IT and manufacturing teams, translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with PLM platforms, such as Siemens Teamcenter (preferred) or equivalent systems; 5 years' experience preferred.
- Knowledge of QMS platforms (e.g., SAP, MasterControl, Arena, ETQ, TrackWise) and integration with other enterprise systems.
- Strong understanding of quality management principles and regulatory standards (ISO, APQP, etc.).
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or SPC methodologies is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven, problem-solving approach.
- Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Experience in battery, automotive, or regulated manufacturing industries is preferred but not required.
