
What You’ll Do
Own HR Compliance & Multi-State Administration
- Manage compliance calendar, including EEO-1, VETS-4212, and required training
- Apply employment laws in day-to-day decisions and escalate higher-risk matters appropriately
- Oversee DOT random drug screening program
- Monitor and flag multi-state regulatory changes
- Ensure I-9 compliance and audit readiness
- Serve as primary point of contact for employee benefits questions
- Coordinate and execute open enrollment in partnership with broker
- Partner with brokers and vendors to resolve issues
- Maintain accurate records for benefits and employment changes
- Administer leaves of absence (FMLA, STD, state-specific leaves)
- Own intern and early-career recruiting, including career fairs and campus outreach
- Lead logistics for events, postings, and candidate tracking
- Conduct phone screens and manage candidate communications
- Coordinate interviews and ensure timely feedback loops
- Partner with HR leadership on recruiting strategy
- Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes
- Lead new hire orientation and ensure a seamless first-day (and beyond) experience
- Maintain onboarding/offboarding workflows and checklists while leveraging HR systems for efficiency
- Own and coordinate the company’s Wellness Program, including quarterly initiatives, communications, and participation tracking
- Plan and execute employee engagement events and programs that enhance connection, morale, and overall employee experience
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver engaging, well-organized experiences
- Bring forward new ideas to improve engagement and drive participation across a multi-entity workforce
- Support communication and promotion of engagement initiatives during company meetings and internal channels
- Maintain accurate employee data across systems
- Audit workflows and identify automation opportunities
- Improve HR processes for scalability and efficiency
- Document and maintain SOPs to support consistency
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience, HR Generalist experience preferred.
- Professional HR certification (preferred) or intent to pursue certification.
- Hands-on experience managing HR compliance activities, including federal reporting, I-9 compliance, and multi-state employment requirements.
- Direct experience administering employee leave & benefits administration, vendor coordination, and employee support.
- Experience supporting or owning recruitment activities, including ATS workflows, phone screens, interviews and coordination, and candidate communications.
- Experience owning or heavily administering an HRIS (Paycom preferred), with responsibility for data accuracy, reporting, and process optimization.
- Working knowledge of FMLA, state leave laws, and basic employment law, with the ability to apply guidance in routine situations and escalate appropriately.
- Experience supporting intern or early-career recruiting and campus recruiting events (preferred)
- Experience working in a small or lean HR team where visibility, prioritization, autonomy and process optimization are critical.
