What We’re Looking For
- Solid experience building and shipping products end-to-end.
- Strong in modern frontend (React/TypeScript) and backend development (Python/Node.js).
- Solid understanding of software design principles and writing scalable, performant code.
- Product mindset — you can balance speed with long-term thinking and make well-reasoned decisions.
- Collaborative spirit — you thrive in cross-functional teams with product, design, data, and ML.

- Design, build, and maintain features across the stack — frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
- Take ownership of features end-to-end: from technical design to implementation, deployment, and iteration.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, designers, ML engineers, and product managers to turn ideas into intuitive experiences.
- Drive projects through the full lifecycle: planning, shipping, learning, and improving.

- Frontend: React, TypeScript

- Infrastructure: Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and many LLM providers
- Data & Analytics: Python, BigQuery, dbt

- Technical Deep Dive: Complete a practical coding exercise at home. Then, join us for a collaborative session to walk through your solution and extend it live.
- Final Loop: Product & Culture: A combined session to wrap up the process. First, you'll dive into product thinking and collaboration. Then, you'll have a close-out chat to discuss Alva’s vision and culture.
