Role Overview/Purpose
Reporting to the Site HR Supervisor, the HR Advisor partners with leaders to deliver operational objectives and drive growth and continuous improvement for both teams and site performance. The Advisor provides HR support and advice to improve employee relations, foster engagement, and support the delivery and interpretation of policies, processes, and programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance and support on HR policies and procedures.
- Actively support the business as a trusted resource on employee relations trends and insights through strong field presence and active listening.
- Address employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions, in accordance with policy and employment law.
- Generate HR reports and analyze HR metrics to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance-related issues.
- Lead recruitment processes, including posting, screening, interviewing, and offers.
- Support all key HR processes at site, including Performance Management, Compensation, and Engagement.
- Assist employees with benefits questions and ensure compliance with programs.
- Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Site HR Superintendent.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years’ HR experience, with a focus on employee relations, recruitment, and HR administration.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders.
- Problem-solving skills and discretion in handling sensitive HR issues.
- Proficiency in HRIS, HR software, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

- 7x7 rotational work (7 days on site, 7 days off site) with charter flights from several hubs across Ontario and Rouyn-Noranda QC. We can also accommodate travel from out of province.

Salary Range: $98,600 - $147,900
The expected salary range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience and internal equity.
