What’s the Job?

Performs a full range of specialized painting projects including, painting large structures; performs inspections, clean ups, storage and disposal of paint products; and operates various tools and equipment.

Position Requirements

• Ability to work on multiple priorities with frequent interruptions in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Physical Demands

• Ability to move or transfer products with an overhead crane. Ability to lift 50 -75 lbs. regularly and 100 lbs. occasionally. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Noise level is usually moderate to high. Majority of the work is indoors. Regularly exposed to paint fumes. Temperatures can range from hot to cold.
  
  
  

Job Duties & Skills

To be successful in this job with AirPro, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Clean prep and paint fans with correct materials specified
• Mixes and thins paint or other coatings to specified consistency according to standards using mixing equipment and viscometer
• Ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently and are consistent with company established goals for quality and customer orders to be on time
• Load and unload parts or product from paint booth
• Record job working on in ERP
• Good knowledge of the mechanics and repair of painting equipment
• Proper cleaning of equipment
• Set up and sandblast product to specifications
• Load and unload sandblast booth
• Sandblast product to SP6, SP10 or customer specifications
• Prepare product for painting and assist with other paint department operations
• Ensure quality standards and processes are used
• Ensure safety guidelines are being met
  • Use proper lifting techniques
  • Use of approved safety glasses and ear plugs
• Perform all job duties in a manner safe to self and others
• Perform other duties as assigned
