The Role
T1 Energy is looking to hire a Material Planning Specialist who is responsible for end-to-end material planning and supply coordination in a PV module manufacturing environment. This role ensures accurate MRP planning, supplier delivery alignment, logistics tracking, and inventory optimization to support uninterrupted production while minimizing inventory risk and cost.

The Role
T1 Energy is looking to hire a Material Planning Specialist who is responsible for end-to-end material planning and supply coordination in a PV module manufacturing environment. This role ensures accurate MRP planning, supplier delivery alignment, logistics tracking, and inventory optimization to support uninterrupted production while minimizing inventory risk and cost.
What You'll Do
- Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Generate monthly material requirement plans based on production plans, BOM, and special-order requirements
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of MRP outputs to support production demand
- Continuously review and optimize planning parameters
- Supplier Delivery Planning
- Coordinate with procurement teams to align delivery schedules with production demand and purchasing targets
- Ensure supplier delivery performance meets required timelines
- Supply Chain Risk Monitoring
- Monitor inbound logistics for each material batch and proactively identify potential delays or risks
- Take corrective actions and escalate issues to ensure supply continuity
- Inventory & Safety Stock Strategy
- Establish and maintain appropriate safety stock levels based on demand variability and supply risk
- Adjust safety stock dynamically based on monthly inventory analysis and consumption trends
- Material Usage & BOM Matching
- Verify and align BOM with production orders to ensure correct material usage
- Track execution of special material matching requirements on the production floor
- Material Change & Optimization
- Support material switching initiatives, including cost reduction and quality improvement projects
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Procurement on material changes
- Material Scrap & Consumption Control
- Monitor material scrap and ensure closing order material variance is within defined targets (e.g., within 5% threshold)
- Analyze scrap trends and support continuous improvement
- Warehouse Coordination & System Transactions
- Ensure timely material receipt and system booking in ERP systems
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate and timely warehousing
- Reporting & Data Analysis
- Perform month-end data analysis and prepare planning and inventory reports
- Provide insights to improve planning accuracy and inventory performance
- System Utilization (ERP / Excel)
- Utilize ERP systems for planning, inventory tracking, and transaction management
- Perform advanced data analysis using Excel
- Strong analytical and planning skills
- Ability to independently manage supply risks and planning exceptions
- Good cross-functional communication skills
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in material planning, supply chain, or production planning
- Experience in PV module, electronics, or manufacturing industry preferred
- Strong understanding of MRP logic and planning processes
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, pivot tables, etc.)
- Knowledge of international logistics and lead time management
- MRP accuracy
- Material availability rate
- Supplier on-time delivery (OTD)
- Inventory turnover
- Safety stock accuracy
- Material scrap variance (within 5% target)
- Logistics on-time arrival rate
