PitchBook’s HR Specialist supports the company’s continued growth as a member of the People Team to provide operational support to several of our key functions including new hire onboarding, HRIS administration, compensation administration and employee data reporting. You will collaborate with the People Team to continue to scale and enhance our People processes to impact the employee journey at PitchBook. Primary Job Responsibilities
- Manage the PBHR inbox and ServiceNow queue to ensure employee questions and concerns are addressed within established SLAs. Direct and escalate questions or concerns as needed
- Provide Workday support by managing employee data changes and HR documentation to ensure accurate, timely record‑keeping, reporting, and audit readiness, while meeting established service level expectations and contributing to a high‑quality HR service model for employees and managers
- Stay informed about emerging tools and technologies, including AI, and apply them thoughtfully to enhance HR processes, data accuracy, and the employee experience
- Partner with Payroll, Finance, IT, and other internal teams to ensure accurate data flow, timely processing, and resolution of employee lifecycle issues and timely processing of regular payroll processes
- Support leave of absence case management by coordinating with employees, managers, payroll, and our third‑party leave administrator; tracking key milestones; and maintaining accurate documentation and system updates in Workday to ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies
- Manage ongoing compliance activities by overseeing required training completion and tracking, and ensuring timely and accurate timesheet submission for non‑exempt employees in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
- Maintain and update HR operational documentation, job aids, and knowledge base content to ensure processes are accurate, current, and consistently followed
- Provide back‑up facilitation support for new hire benefits overview sessions and assist with benefits enrollment and ongoing benefits administration
- Facilitate and respond to external employment verifications and unemployment requests
- Provide HR data support by fulfilling ad‑hoc internal data requests, maintaining and updating business‑as‑usual reporting, and preparing accurate data and documentation for audit and compliance purposes
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws in all employee-related practices including FLSA, FMLA, HIPAA, EEO, ADA, and related SOX or SOC compliance areas
- Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
- Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested
- 3+ years previous experience in Human Resources required
- Experience supporting leave of absence administration (LOA), including coordination with employees, managers, payroll, and third‑party leave administrators preferred
- Working knowledge of HRIS systems required, experience with Workday preferred
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and protect employee privacy
- Demonstrated success in problem-solving and ownership to resolve issues
- Process-oriented, organized, and metrics-driven with amazing attention to detail
- Demonstrated success in a role requiring extensive customer interaction
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be able to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

- Annual base salary: $82,000-$92,000
- Target annual bonus percentage: 7.5%
