We are proud to be a member of the Great Estates Okanagan, featuring premium, award winning VQA wines in the south Okanagan.
POSITION: Line Cook/Kitchen Porter - PATIO RESTAURANT & Events
LOCATION: SEE YA LATER RANCH, Okanagan Falls, BC
STATUS: SEASONAL HOURLY CONTRACT (May to October)
COMPENSATION: $20/hr
THE OPPORTUNITY
As a See Ya Later Ranch Line Cook, you help create the dining experience our guests remember. From the moment they arrive, you can be part of creating lasting memories with exceptional food to complement our award-winning wine.
DAILY LIFE
- Work as a part of a team to prepare and execute daily lunch service and prIvate events.
- Prepare, portion and stock food station as required.
- Ensure that the preparation, production, and presentation of food are always of the highest quality.
- Cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen area, including pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, and equipment.
- Unloading and putting away deliveries and stock
- Emptying bins, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Maintain readiness of kitchenware and kitchen laundry.
- Daily opening, closing and cleaning duties as requested by our Winery Chef and/or Sous Chef; A prepared team and clean restaurant are essential for positive guest experiences!
- Courteous, friendly, professional attitude – demonstrated Emotional Intelligence
- Minimum one year experience working in a kitchen with desire to become more proficient.
- Food Safe & WHIMIS are assets, although training can be provided.
- Able to lift 40lbs, work in hot summer temperatures & stand for long periods of time.
- Able to work weekends throughout the season and evenings for weddings and other events.
