Job Summary

The Manager of the Family Health Team provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered primary care services. This role oversees daily operations, supports interdisciplinary team functioning, and ensures compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. The Manager leads initiatives that enhance clinical workflows, improve patient experience, and optimize resource utilization. Working collaboratively with physicians, clinicians, administrative staff, and community partners, the Manager fosters a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. This position requires strong leadership skills, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate complex healthcare environments while supporting the mission and values of Atikokan Health and Community Services.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or administration is preferred
  • At least 5 years management or leadership experience in a primary care or multidisciplinary healthcare setting
  • Experience overseeing interdisciplinary teams and operational healthcare management
  • Clinical experience and knowledge considered a strong asset.
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of primary care practices, healthcare regulations and quality improvement frameworks
  • Ability to manage budgets, resources and operational workflows effectively
  • Strategic thinking and problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency in healthcare information systems and reporting tools
