About the Finance department
The Finance & Control department ensures Ampelmann’s financial health and transparency by managing accounting, reporting, budgeting and tax for our international entities. As part of the Financial Accounting team, you work closely with colleagues in finance, business control, operations and external auditors. The team is growing in scope and maturity, focusing on stronger internal controls, smarter use of ERP systems and continuously improving financial processes to support Ampelmann’s global ambitions.
Your role as Financial Accountant
As Financial Accountant you secure accurate and timely financial information for Ampelmann’s international operations. Within the Finance & Control team, you take ownership of the general ledger, consolidation and fixed asset administration, and play a key role in monthly, quarterly and year-end closings. You work closely with colleagues and external auditors, contribute to process and system improvements, and help strengthen our internal control framework. In this role, you report to the Team Lead Financial Accounting together with a Jr. Financial Accountant.
Regular Activities
- Coordinate and execute monthly, quarterly and year-end closes for multiple (international) entities; prepare and post journals together with Jr. Financial Accountant.
- Analyse, reconcile and correct general ledger accounts; prepare supporting documentation.
- Maintain and improve the chart of accounts and department structures, safeguard internal controls.
- Manage fixed asset accounting: registrations, depreciation, disposals and capitalization of projects.
- Support external audits and contribute to process, system and ERP-related improvements.
We ask
- BSc in Accountancy, Business Economics or similar
- More than 5 years of relevant working experience in accounting
- Strong knowledge of Dutch GAAP, solid general ledger and fixed asset accounting skills, and confident use of ERP Systems (MS Dynamics 365 is a plus)
- Excellent command of English and Dutch, spoken and written
- Proven experience as a Financial Accountant in an international environment, including consolidations of multiple entities
