Job Description

Kratos is seeking an Associate Program Manager to join the Corporate IT team. This position is a remote position.

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

The Associate Project Manager leads small to mid?size projects from initiation to closure, partnering with business and technical teams to define goals, build plans, and drive execution. The role supports PMO process improvements, monitors progress, manages risks, and removes obstacles to keep projects on track. Strong communication, organization, and problem?solving skills are essential. This position requires the ability to obtain security clearance, if needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Contribute to the growth and value-driven delivery of our IT PMO. Participate in enhancing methodologies, processes, tools, templates, etc. to build the PMO brand and customer service offering
  • Manage the project life cycle from initiation to closure to ensure the success of the project directly supports the achievement of our strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with business owner to develop clear project goals and objectives, assess core team members and stakeholders, identify success metrics, and establish the proper sprint cadence
  • Act as a leader to the project team by facilitating conversations to build trust and rapport between members, and to motivate teams to drive the delivery of business results. Measure and report on progress and challenges, and proactively adjust and address obstacles or dependencies
  • Communicate to project teams on any red flags of schedule delay, resource constraints, or any outstanding issues that require attention
  • Facilitate conversations for business owner and team members to exchange feedback on a regular basis. Work with teams to ensure benefits are realized as early as possible and learnings are incorporated into project execution
  • Continue professional development to stay up to date on emerging project management techniques, methods, and best practices
  • Other job duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or other technical disciplines or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a project management role.
  • 4+ years of progressive experience working in different functions, such as technology, product, and operations.
  • Experience in MS Project or other PPM tools.
  • Experience implementing small to mid-size initiatives across an organization.
  • Experience working in technology, software, and system related fields preferred.
  • Experience with multiple project management methodologies.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Office Work Station/Home Office Hybrid Environment
  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones)

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Yes, if needed

Salary Range: $72K-$115K
