Liang Lab in ASRL is seeking a motivated research officer/assistant to join our research team to develop bioengineered innovations for skin-interfacing applications. The candidate will be working on a skin regeneration project and should have some basic understanding of skin biology and physiology, biomaterial properties and characterizations. Familiarity in soft materials e.g. hydrogels will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and characterization of biomaterials
- Perform routine assays/experiments, including cellular biochemical assays, histology, immunohistostaining etc.
- Participate in laboratory management and organization including inventory, housekeeping, data management and risk assessments etc.
- Provide support for laboratory management and organization including inventory, housekeeping, data management and risk assessments etc
- Collaborate actively with lab members as well as other external stakeholders
- Bachelors degree in Biomedical Science/Life Sciences, Material Science, Bioengineering or related fields
- Experience in biomaterials, characterizations and formulations
- Experience in microfluidics will be an advantage
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a dynamic team, and with limited supervision
