The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training and internal pay comparison. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Type

Full-Time/Regular

This position will contribute to investigations into immune responses following vaccination and infection. It will involve contributions to experimental planning and design, requiring a background to support those responsibilities. The Research Specialist will support experimental work involving molecular biology and immunology techniques, with a focus on specialized skillsets including rapid antibody discovery and screening, virus neutralization assays, and antibody production and purification. The Research Specialist will carry out experiments under the direction of the principal investigator and in collaboration with team members, with regular supervision and check-ins to ensure adherence to protocols and scientific rigor. The position is well-suited to someone seeking to apply specialized skills while continuing to grow professionally within a collaborative research environment. The ideal candidate will have laboratory experience beyond coursework, strong attention to detail, and the ability to carry out established protocols reliably. They will be expected to contribute to experimental planning, present results in lab meetings, and support manuscript preparation with guidance.

Required Skills

Bachelor's and 1-3 years' experience.
