Americhem is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of custom color concentrates. Our products support a wide range of industries and applications, enabling customers to produce high-quality finished goods. We are actively hiring Extrusion Operators to join our Concord, NC manufacturing team.
Position Summary
The Extrusion Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion equipment used in the production of color compounds. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain the highest standards of safety by following all safety procedures and actively participating in safety programs
Operate extrusion and related production equipment, including extruders, feeders, pelletizers, scales, dies, and classifiers
Produce compound samples according to customer and production specifications
Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
Add color mix to feeders using a tow motor/forklift to position color pots correctly
Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot mechanical issues as needed
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
1–2 years of manufacturing or production experience strongly preferred
Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting capability
Forklift/tow motor experience preferred
Solid math and analytical skills
Dependable, reliable, and self-motivated work ethic
Compensation & Benefits
