Full-time

Engineering, Information Technology

ACOR is a national, employee-owned engineering consulting firm, offering a full range of specialist engineering services across multiple sectors. We have a proven track record for the successful delivery of large-scale multi-discipline projects, as well as smaller niche assignments. Our client’s needs are at the core of everything we do – their success is our success.

We are proud of our workplace culture, and we reward and recognise our people who best represent our company values of excellence, passion, caring, integrity, collaboration, and courage.

As a Structural Engineer, you will support the success of ACOR, both locally and on a national level. This role requires an excellent communicator, looking for a mix of office & site-based work. You will need to be a problem solver, who is able to think ‘bigger picture’ and participate in design, delivery and coordination across engineering disciplines and with the wider project team.

It would suit an applicant ready to make the next step in their career and move towards a Senior role. The opportunity exists to be a key contributor in the growth and success of the local business.

  • Provide structural design input and direction to internal and external project teams.
  • Manage projects that include design, specification and reporting aspects.
  • Demonstrate sound judgement, in conjunction with technically accurate and feasible engineering solutions.
  • Establish and apply professional engineering standards and procedures. Consult, recommend, and advise both internal and external clients.
  • Carry out site inspections and associated construction-phase engineering services for internal and external clients.
  • Determine and apply appropriate standards and methods to minimise health, safety & environmental risks.

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Structural/Civil Engineering
  • Accreditation by Engineers Australia and Chartership (or working towards Chartered status)
  • Demonstrated competence in structural engineering design.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to compile detailed and accurate reports.

Benefits Of ACOR

  • Attractive remuneration package, commensurate with experience
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Discounts on everyday products and services
  • Regular social and fundraising events
  • Ongoing learning & development
  • 100% employee owned company

Please include a cover letter and resume with your application.

About the company

Company websiteEngineering Services

Founded in 1997, ACOR Consultants began as a group of engineers with a unique set of personal and professional values providing specialist consulting services. Fast forward 25 years, we are a proud nation-wide business, committed to our mission of "Investing in the success of our clients and creating an environment where people thrive." With offices around Australia, we strive to work as One Team, One ACOR, putting our clients’ needs to the forefront.

We are large enough to be able to offer our clients a full and diversified range of engineering services, but not so large that we lose our ability to offer a personal service, whilst being flexible and innovative in our approach. We measure success by the strength of our relationships, the trust our clients place in us, the specialists we attract to work with us, and the quality of the projects we deliver.

Our clients, stakeholders and communities come from all walks of life and so do we. The diversity of our employees enables us to collaborate better, be more creative, achieve greater quality and innovate. We value and support diversity and inclusion in our workplace and we want to continue building a culture that accepts and encourages our employees to bring all of themselves and their individual uniqueness to work.
