Job Description

This position designs, develops, tests and implements business application solutions with demonstrated proficiency a variety of development tools and technologies. The scope of the applications will vary from more complex enhancement efforts as well as new application development. The size and complexity of these efforts will primarily be department level applications. As technical skills advance development assignments will become larger and more complex and may include enterprise wide applications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist working with business customers to understand, define and document business requirements, functional requirements and design requirements that are of low to medium complexity assignments.
  • Consult with Business Partners and more senior level IT Software Engineers in the design phase of low to medium complexity projects to leverage technology and provide implementation recommendations
  • Assist with the design, development, testing, deployment and documentation of low to medium complexity assignments
  • Assist with the deployment of applications into the production environment
  • Develop test plans, test cases and execute test scripts for unit and system testing and resolve application defects with support from more senior level team members
  • Adhere to design, development and testing methods and techniques that meet corporate IT standards.
  • Work with IT infrastructure staff and PMO staff to ensure the successful delivery of the application
  • Adhere to Agile practices and other PMO or Team project methodology.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with business customers and IT staff
  • Support other Software Engineers on technical issues and assisting with their development efforts
  • Develop skills in new development tool
  • Assist in developing end user training and application support

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related discipline
  • Basic familiarity and application of SDLC and Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with database technologies including SQL and Oracle
  • Able to work individually as well as in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work with Sr. Software Engineer and management to communicate knowledge, ideas and opinions
  • Able to deliver high quality solutions
  • Able to manage and prioritize tasks and projects
  • Strong problem solving skills and able to generate creative solution
  • Strong focus on customer service and goes the extra mile to ensure a positive customer experience

Pay Range

$78,824.00 - $122,176.00

PROFIT SHARING: In 2026 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit Sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
