Key Responsibilities
- Install marine navigation equipment including but not limited to radar, sonar, gyrocompasses, autopilots, ECDIS, GMDSS, etc.
- Perform predictive, preventive, and emergency maintenance of NAVCOM equipment.
- Be competent with marine equipment and integrated systems in line with experience and qualifications.
- Maintain diagnostic and operational tools, support, and test equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting and timely repairs.
- Have sound knowledge of spares and list requirements as per project needs.
- Carry out correct isolation and disconnection procedures.
- Climb antenna support structures to various heights for maintenance and installation of antenna systems.
- Respond promptly to problems according to approved procedures.
- Maintain logs of faults, resolutions, and maintenance.
- Keep the work area clean and free of hazards within personal responsibility.
- Attend offshore jobs as required.
- Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, and Communication.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the marine field.
- Able to understand basic English and follow work instructions from clients, supervisors, and managers.
- GMDSS operator’s certificate is desirable.
- Basic math skills are required.
- A valid GCC driving license is an added advantage.
