Job Description
The RD&I Rotational Development Program is designed to create meaningful experiences by working on three different product lines within the Andersen business over a two year period. It helps individuals grow their network and professional experience by working on a board range of projects impacting a variety of different areas. The three unique experiences provide individuals the opportunity to innovate, develop and execute product design initiatives within the RD&I On-Going Product Development group at Andersen Windows and Doors. You will be integral in creating industry-leading high-performing durable product solutions. You will be involved in every aspect of the product design life cycle; from the front end of business development through product end of life. The program provides mentorship and networking opportunities for members to help them grow professionally and personally.

Primary Responsibilities
- Developing innovative customer-focused design concepts and solutions
- Delivering mechanical designs, developed using engineering principles, in a variety of material technologies including: wood, glass, metals, plastics, and composites
- Technical Documentation and Presentations
- Engineering Change Orders
- Product Quality Improvements
- Cost Reduction Initiatives
- Production and Certification Support
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Biomedical Engineering or equivalent degree
- Experienced with 3D CAD modelling package
- Demonstrated ability to design experimentation, analyze results and draw conclusions
- Strong people skills, able to work in a highly collaborative team environment
- Demonstrated use of FEA
- Demonstrated use of dimensional tolerance analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Quick learner with high level of ambition and drive
