Job Summary

DHCF is looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, focusing on complex projects to analyze business needs, design innovative systems solutions, and drive process improvements. This role often involves leadership, mentorship, and a high degree of autonomy in managing large, cross-functional projects.
Key Responsibilities And Duties
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Lead workshops and conduct in-depth interviews with stakeholders across various departments to understand, document, and prioritize complex business requirements and objectives.
- Solution Design & Development Support: Translate high-level business needs into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and technical requirements for development teams. Collaborate with solution architects and developers to design and build effective, scalable solutions.
- Project and Process Management: Assist project lead on moderate to large projects, planning and monitoring timelines, budgets, and resources. Assist continuous improvement by analyzing existing business processes and identifying opportunities for optimization and automation.
- Documentation & Communication: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including data flow diagrams, process maps, user manuals, and training materials. Communicate complex information and project status effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior management.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Assist the Quality Assurance team design and execute thorough test plans and scenarios as needed (e.g., UAT, performance testing) to ensure solutions are accurate, reliable, and compliant with requirements and quality standards.
- Support & Training: Provide ongoing support for implemented systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and conduct user training sessions to ensure user adoption and proficiency as needed.
- Vendor Management: Interface with external vendors and manage their activities, including evaluating vendor submissions and ensuring vendor solutions align with business needs.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is typically required.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a business systems analyst or in a similar role, with demonstrated success in managing complex projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), process modeling tools (e.g., Visio), working knowledge of SQL, and experience with development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum) and relevant platforms (e.g., Jira, MS Office, Salesforce) are highly valued.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are essential. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are necessary for effective stakeholder collaboration and team guidance.
- Certifications (Preferred): IIBA CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), or PMP (Project Management Professional) can be beneficial.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), process modeling tools (e.g., Visio)--Required 5 Years
- Working knowledge of SQL--Required 5 Years
- Experience as a business systems analyst or in a similar role, with demonstrated success in managing complex projects--Required 11 Years
- Experience with development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum)--Required 11 Years
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience--Required
- Must have experience level to qualify for a Senior Level STaR2 category--Required
