Position Summary
ANSER is seeking a Strategic Operational Planner. In this role you will provide technical leadership and direction to either INDOPACOM headquarters, or a component staff in the development, revision, and review of Operational Plans (OPLANS), Contingency Plans (CONPLANS), and Campaign Plans.
Day To Day Responsibilities
- Assist staff planners in the development of strategic and operational concepts for new OPLANs/CONPLANs and possible branch plans to existing OPLANS/CONPLANs.
- Make recommendations, where appropriate, to change planning procedures or ways of conducting planning to the staff and subordinate command staffs.
- Support higher, adjacent and supporting headquarters planning ensuring proper employment of forces; and review and provide written comments on regional combatant commander and JTF OPLANS/CONPLANS.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Master's degree. Will consider an additional 8 years' experience with bachelor's degree OR 12 years' work experience may be substituted for a master's degree.
- 10+ years of operations planning experience supporting MAJCOM, Combatant Command or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of operational planning, and service and joint doctrine.
- Demonstrated understanding of C2IE and JOPES and other requirements tools
- Advanced proficiency with using Microsoft applications such as Excel, Teams, Words, Power Pt., etc.
- Possess a working knowledge of the Pacific theater, and an understanding of the relationships and general interactions between each nation.
- Strong interpersonal/social skills; proven staff officer/contractor support excellence.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
