Key Responsibilities
- Works closely with students and startups to design and build prototype/products.
- Technical knowledge of engineering documents including engineering CAD drawings, parts lists, and bills of material.
- Operate basic hand tools and lab equipment.
- Assist lab technicians in conducting workshops/ training.
- Operate machines to fabricate parts or tools by turning, boring, milling, grinding or drilling metal stock plastic or wood components.
- Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools such as laser cutting machines, Drilling machines and CNC mini-mills.
- Maintenance and upkeep of all equipment in the lab.
- Clean and maintain work area and all lab equipment and supplies.
- Check dimensional accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools or sub-assemblies.
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Tool & Die.
- Previous Lab or Industry experience preferred.
