Qualifications
- Appropriate Georgia Teaching Certification
- Minimum of a T-4 certification; T-5 or higher certification preferred
- Minimum of three years successful teaching experience
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with administration, faculty, and staff.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Performance Responsibilities
- Possess expertise in content, pedagogy, professional learning and school improvement initiatives, including a thorough knowledge of state curriculum standards.
- Participate in and redeliver state, system, and school level training.
- Conduct informal observations in classrooms and provide appropriate feedback.
- Observe and model appropriate teaching strategies.
- Organize and attend grade level Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).
- Analyze and disaggregate data to support instruction and student achievement.
- Communicate with administration regarding teacher professional learning needs.
- Participate in required faculty meetings.
- Build a collegial climate with faculty/staff, students, and parents.
- Complete reports in a timely manner.
- Scaffold the development of an effective assessment system
- Support high leverage and evidence based practices.
- Maintains knowledge of research-based teaching/learning strategies and materials.
- Maintain standards of confidentiality.
- Perform other duties as needed and assigned by supervisor(s).
- Follows the Georgia Professional Standards for Educators
- Demonstrates prompt and regular in person attendance
