Summary

The Vice President of Clinical Services provides executive leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for ADAPT Community Network’s clinical service delivery system, including all Article 28 Clinics and the organization’s medical affiliate, ADAPT Medical Professional Services (MPS). This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, accessible, person-centered healthcare services to individuals with disabilities across a broad spectrum of medical, rehabilitation, and mental health services. The VP of Clinic Services ensures regulatory compliance, financial sustainability, clinical excellence, and alignment with ADAPT’s mission, values, and strategic priorities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The key duties and responsibilities of the Vice President of Clinical Services include but are not limited to:

  • Provide executive leadership and oversight for all Article 28 clinics and ADAPT Medical Professional Services (MPS).
  • Set the strategic vision and direction for clinical services in alignment with ADAPT’s mission, values, and organizational goals.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, accessible, person-centered care for individuals with disabilities across all service lines.
  • Oversee the full continuum of services, including primary and specialty care, rehabilitation therapies, adult physiatry, care coordination, and mental health services.
  • Lead and supervise clinical staff, ensuring accountability for performance, outcomes, and compliance.
  • Ensure effective integration and coordination among medical, rehabilitation, mental health, and care coordination teams.
  • Promote a wellness philosophy that supports active participation of individuals and families in all phases of care.
  • Ensure compliance with Article 28 regulations, Medicaid and Medicare requirements, Patient-Centered Medical Home standards, HIPAA, and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide executive oversight of Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities across all clinical programs.
  • Monitor clinical outcomes, patient experience data, incident trends, and risk indicators, and direct corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and complete reporting to regulatory agencies, payors, and funding sources.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations leadership to develop, manage, and monitor clinical budgets and financial performance.
  • Oversee clinician productivity, service utilization, billing integrity, and revenue cycle performance.
  • Analyze operational and financial data to support program growth, service line development, and operational efficiency.
  • Leads recruitment, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, supervision, and performance management of all program staff; initiates corrective action and termination procedures when needed.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • Support succession planning and leadership development within clinical operations.
  • Represent ADAPT with regulatory bodies, healthcare partners, community organizations, and external stakeholders.
  • Support outreach, marketing, and partnership initiatives to expand access to clinical services.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices impacting healthcare delivery.
  • Investigate and resolve high-level clinical, operational, and patient-related concerns.
  • Serve on agency-wide committees, task forces, and leadership initiatives.
  • Performs other related duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, Social Work, or a related clinical or healthcare field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in healthcare or clinical operations, including oversight of multi-site programs.
  • Extensive knowledge of Article 28 regulations, Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement, managed care, and healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience leading interdisciplinary clinical teams across medical, rehabilitation, and behavioral health services.
  • Strong understanding of Patient-Centered Medical Home models, care coordination, and value-based care principles.
  • Proven ability to oversee complex budgets, analyze financial and operational data, and drive sustainable growth.
  • Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and change management skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with the people we support, families, staff, and external partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with executive leadership, clinicians, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records, data analytics, and healthcare information systems.
  • Strong commitment to ADAPT’s mission and to advancing equitable, accessible healthcare for individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, including compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Proven supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and motivate staff.
  • Passion for ADAPT's mission and demonstrates a commitment to the non-profit disability sector.

COMPENSATION: $130,000 - $140,000 Annually + Industry-Leading Benefits!
