Job Title: QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) Engineer
Location: Dammam Airport
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QHSE Engineer to join our team to ensure the highest standards of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment for the Airport Project. The QHSE Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager, Project Owner, PMC (Project Management Consultant), and contractors to ensure compliance with project QHSE requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Management:
- Develop and implement quality plans and procedures for the project
- Develop Material submittals, Method Statements, MIRs, WIRs, … etc. and review & close NCRs … etc.
- Conduct quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Identify and report quality risks and issues to the Project Manager
2. Health and Safety Management:
- Develop and implement health and safety plans and procedures for the project
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, epically, FOD management, Occupational & Operational Safety.
- Identify and report health and safety risks and issues to the Project Manager
3. Environmental Management:
- Develop and implement environmental plans and procedures for the project
- Conduct environmental audits and inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Identify and report environmental risks and issues to the Project Manager
4. Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with relevant QHSE regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001)
- Prepare and submit QHSE reports to the Project Manager and stakeholders
- Coordinate with contractors to ensure compliance with QHSE requirements
5. Training and Awareness:
- Develop and deliver QHSE training and awareness programs for project personnel
- Ensure that all project personnel are aware of and comply with QHSE requirements
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in QHSE or a related role in a construction or engineering project
- Skills:
- Proficiency in QHSE management software and tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge:
- Familiarity with construction project management processes and procedures
- Understanding of QHSE management principles and best practices (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification:
Mandatory: to have SCE membership in safety or Professional Cadres (Kawader) in safety.
Preferred: QHSE Certification (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH,ISO 9001 Lead Auditor)
Experience: Experience working on airport or infrastructure projects
Technical Skills: Experience with QHSE management systems and software (e.g., OpenText, Aconex)
