We are looking for an Air Quality Specialist to oversee projects that support technical inputs and lead technical delivery for Jacobs projects.

You will undertake and contribute to the Environmental Team by

  • Task lead for air quality baseline monitoring, air dispersion modelling, emission impact assessment
  • Leading technical reports and proposals, and/or authoring technical reports and proposals
  • Review of junior staff data analysis/investigation
  • Communicate air quality data and results effectively for a variety of stakeholders both technical and non-technical
  • Provide project management and proposal development support


You Will Have The Following Required Technical Knowledge

  • Identify, flag and understand the sources of data discrepancies and outliers and describe this in reports
  • Develop and coordinate programs monitoring air quality parameters
  • Develop and coordinate programs monitoring weather parameters
  • Presenting air quality outcomes to various stakeholders
  • Selecting the appropriate types of air quality monitoring equipment to specific applications
  • Proficient in air quality modelling – at least AERMOD and IPCC Tier 4 GHG Emissions Calculations
  • Ability to identify the key air quality issues for specific industry groups
  • In depth understanding of national legislation related to air quality assessments and the management/regulation of project related impacts in the Philippines.


Here's what you'll need

You should have a demonstrated ability in

  • Communicating complex technical/regulatory issues to stakeholders.
  • Good interpersonal skills as lead consultant liaising with Local Authorities and Project Stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Philippine legal and authorities’ requirements for environmental impact assessments, environmental management and monitoring planning and Pollution Control requirements
  • EIA, ESIA, preferably with international performance standards experience


You need

  • At least BSc degree in Environmental, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Sciences, or relevant disciplines
  • At least 5 years working experience in the field of air quality assessment, i.e. baseline monitoring, air dispersion modelling, impact assessment, weather data statistical assessment, air pollution control and technologies, etc.
  • Registered EIA Preparer with DENR is mandatory
