
Northwest Partners is supporting a major initiative with a top-tier organization in the insurance space and is looking for an experienced Application Development Manager to contribute to the success of this work. This role combines hands-on software engineering with technical leadership, providing guidance to a development team while delivering scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate enjoys mentoring others while remaining actively involved in software design and development.

What YOU will do
• Lead, mentor, and develop an application development team while remaining hands-on with software development
• Manage project planning, prioritization, staffing, work assignments, and delivery for moderate to large enterprise initiatives
• Provide technical leadership for enterprise applications utilizing C#, JavaScript, Vue.js, and ReactJS
• Perform architecture, design, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of enterprise applications
• Conduct code reviews and oversee unit testing, security scanning, and adherence to development standards
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to define requirements and deliver effective technical solutions
• Guide team members through technical challenges and promote knowledge sharing and professional growth
• Monitor employee performance, provide coaching, conduct regular feedback sessions, and participate in hiring activities
• Support enterprise application administration and continuously improve development processes and delivery practices
What YOU will bring us
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum of 10 years of enterprise application development experience
• Minimum of 2 years of people management experience
• Strong hands-on development experience with C#, JavaScript, Vue.js, and React
• Experience designing and building large-scale enterprise applications
• Experience leading software development projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, web applications, client-server technologies, and service-oriented architecture
• Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Experience gathering and managing customer or business requirements
• Experience in insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries is preferred
