As Group Controller at Hultafors Group, you will play a key role in ensuring high-quality financial reporting and driving development initiatives across the Group’s finance and reporting landscape.

The positionAs Group Controller, you are responsible for the accuracy and follow‑up of the Group’s monthly closing and reporting, as well as for driving improvements in processes, routines and systems within Group Finance. You work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues in Group Finance and other Group functions.

A central part of the role is to support monthly analysis, budget and forecast work, and to take an active role in developing the Group’s sustainability reporting, including further strengthening the Group‑wide greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting (Scopes 1–3). This is not a pure reporting role—you are expected to take ownership and contribute to improving ways of working.

You report to the Director Group Controlling.

The position is based at our head office in Gothenburg.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality and accuracy in the Group’s monthly closing and financial reporting
  • Safeguard adherence to reporting principles and contribute to the development of Group Finance policies and manuals
  • Analyze results, trends and business plans to identify risks, opportunities and improvements
  • Support and coordinate budget, forecast and monthly reporting processes across subsidiaries and business units
  • Drive development projects within Group Finance, improving reporting structures, processes and ways of working
  • Take a leading role in the Group’s sustainability reporting, including GHG (Scopes 1–3), ensuring consistent and high‑quality data
  • Coordinate and support local sustainability reporting contacts in subsidiaries
  • Act as a proactive business partner to Group functions and perform ad hoc analyses to support strategic decision‑making

Your profileYou are a self‑driven, analytical and business‑oriented person with a strong interest in reporting, business control and data, and a curiosity for how sustainability metrics can drive better business decisions. You enjoy working close to the business, building trust in an international environment, and improving ways of working. You combine a strong understanding of Group financial flows with attention to detail and a collaborative, solution‑oriented mindset.

  • University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or similar
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in controlling, accounting or audit
  • Solid knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, performance follow‑up and profitability analysis
  • Strong interest in sustainability; experience with sustainability or GHG data (Scopes 1–3) is an advantage
  • Experience from monthly closing and financial reporting, preferably in an international Group
  • Strong systems skills (ERP, reporting/BI tools) and very good Excel skills
  • Fluency in English; international experience is an advantage
