About Us
Southern Cross Health Insurance is shaping a healthier Aotearoa New Zealand. Our purpose is simple: empowering our members to live well for longer. We're here to give peace of mind through timely access to quality care, inspire healthier living, and lead positive change across the health system. As a New Zealand-owned, member-based organisation, we're building a future where wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do -- delivering exceptional value for our members and creating an environment where our people thrive.
Now is an exciting time to join us. You'll be part of a high-performing, values-driven team where people are at the heart of everything we do -- and in return for your talent, you'll have the opportunity to grow, make an impact, and be proud of the difference your work makes.
About The Role
At Southern Cross, our analytics team sits at the heart of how we price our products, manage contracts with healthcare providers, and make decisions that affect hundreds of thousands of members. As an Associate Analyst, you’ll be doing meaningful work from the start - contributing directly to decisions that matter.
About The Role
This role sits within our Pricing and Analytics team, supporting the delivery of contract pricing analysis, the development of business reporting, and strategic initiatives. Your work will ensure that the premiums paid by our members are fair, sustainable, and grounded in solid data.
You’ll work across reporting, analytical support, and BAU contract pricing processes, developing a genuine understanding of the health insurance landscape. You may be a recent graduate stepping into your first role, or someone who already has a year or two of analytical experience and is looking for an environment where they can grow and develop.
What You’ll Be Doing
We’re looking for someone who’s sharp, curious, and ready to learn. You might be a recent graduate or already have some experience under your belt. What matters most is your mindset and your analytical foundation.
Southern Cross is New Zealand’s largest health insurer, but within the analytics team, you’ll feel the benefits of both scale and closeness - real access to decision-makers, meaningful exposure to strategic work, and a team that genuinely invests in growing its people.
Ngākau nui. Āhurutanga. Tikanga.
