Your Job

We are seeking a proficient and motivated Associate Design Engineer who is competent in CAD tools (preferably UG-NX) and PLM software (preferably Teamcenter).

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for creating and modifying designs, 3D models and drawings using Siemens NX software, managing data within Teamcenter, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide Product Design, Development & Modification, Product Testing, Sustenance and Field Application support.

Our Team

This team is into Development of High-speed cable assemblies for I/O solutions enabling next gen data rates that goes into Data center powering cloud computing, artificial intelligence, etc. The position will be part of this engineering team within Molex India Business Services.

What You Will Do

  • Utilize Siemens NX software to develop 3D models and assemblies of mechanical systems, ensuring accuracy, precision, and adherence to design specifications.
  • Collaborate with Lead engineers to interpret technical drawings, sketches, and specifications, and convert them into detailed 3D models and 2D drawings.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), engineering change orders (ECOs), and release packages, within Teamcenter.
  • Manage and organize CAD files, ensuring proper version control and data integrity within Teamcenter.
  • Handle sustenance activities on matured products adhering to SLAs, FPY, Error rates etc.
  • Create complex 2D engineering component DWGs, Assembly instructions with adherence to industry standards as well as Molex best practises.
  • Perform advanced NX modelling / Surfacing, synchronous modelling to create complex geometries (routings, solder profiles etc)
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing and production teams to address design-related issues, resolve manufacturing discrepancies, and support the development of efficient manufacturing processes.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering
  • 2-3 years in Product Design, Development & Modification, Product Validation & Testing, Sustenance & Field Application support.
  • Hands on Experience in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as molding, sheet metal forming, Machining, fabrication of components and various assembly processes.
  • Proficient in using solid modeling software to generate complex 3D models & 2D drafting
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely
  • Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and in a team


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Good knowledge of conventional and advanced Machining, Assembly line process and Prototype techniques.
  • Proficient in Siemens NX, Team Center and PLM/PDM
  • Experience working in Connector or related industry
  • Good knowledge and understanding of electromechanical products, components and assemblies
