ReOrbit is looking for a motivated Avionics Systems Engineer to join the team at our HQ in Helsinki, Finland or in our subsidiary in Bangluru, India. We are looking for an experienced engineer who is proactive and confident to work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of the team, communicating with internal teams and external partners.

You will be responsible for the high-level avionics systems design for our new project, developing a solution using hardware with flight heritage from our trusted suppliers, as well as supporting other projects across the company. This is an exciting opportunity to join a consortium project, with major industry players, in pushing the boundaries of existing space data technology.

Responsibilities

  • Define the overall avionics architecture of the satellite platforms and maintain the models/diagrams throughout the lifetime of the project.
  • Design and overall grounding and bonding architecture of our spacecraft
  • Design and maintain the electrical circuit diagrams and its respective interfaces.
  • Participate in interfaces definitions between different subsystems.
  • Participate in supply chain definition for batteries, power distribution units, and the like
  • Prepare reports and presentations about avionics subsystem.
  • Functional testing and qualification of all the avionics components

Skills And Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years' working within avionics systems engineering or similar areas within the GEO space industry.
  • Knowledge and professional experience of the full lifecycle of avionics subsystems.
  • High level system design of avionics subsystem.
  • Ability to analyse data, derive conclusions, and manage design documentation as well as review and approve design changes.
  • Comfortable working closely with external vendors and consortium partners.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Fluent written and spoken skills in English.
