About the role:
Requirements
We are looking for an energetic and passionateTechnicianwith at least a level 3 apprenticeship in any mechanicalor electrical engineering discipline to support us on repairing, overhauling and refurbishing our customer’s aircraft engine accessory units as well as any of their components in line with their requirements and the manufacturer specifications. This includes:
- Checking in and stripping engine accessory units
- Carrying out cleaning of components
- Inspecting all relevant components and identifying items for scrap, rework or refit using product information
- Ensuring all components for rebuild are to the required specifications and available within agreed TAT
- Building units to defined standards ensuring fit, clearance and modification levels are accurate
- Preparing and setting up units for testing
- Testing units, ensure all agreed checks are actioned
- Carrying out final checks on completed unit ensuring all paperwork is appropriately stamped.
- Adhere to Health and Safety and environmental requirements and regulations
- Adhere to the Company Information and Protection Policy (IPP)
- Comply with statutory requirements and regulations and Company requirements
- Carry out any other reasonable request within current competence level
- Assist in the training of team members ensuring best practice standards are maintained
- Self-development will be the responsibility of the post-holder. Training and development will be identified and opportunities sought to increase personal effectiveness
- Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external departments
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship (specialising in engineering discipline) or equivalent NVQ and BTEC level 3 in an engineering discipline or military equivalent.
