Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Delinea Subject Matter Expert (SME) with 10+ years of experience in Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Identity & Access Management (IAM) to lead the design, implementation, and operations of Delinea (formerly Thycotic/Centrify) solutions. The role will partner with security, infrastructure, and application teams to strengthen privileged identity controls, reduce risk, and improve operational efficiency across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

    • Lead end-to-end delivery of Delinea PAM capabilities (requirements, design, build, test, rollout, and steady-state operations).
    • Architect and implement Delinea Secret Server, Privilege Manager/Server Suite, and related components (as applicable to the organization’s stack).
    • Design privileged account onboarding patterns for servers, databases, network devices, cloud platforms, and applications; ensure least-privilege and just-in-time access where feasible.
    • Configure and tune password rotation, discovery, session recording/monitoring, approval workflows, and break-glass processes.
    • Integrate Delinea with enterprise identity services (e.g., Active Directory/LDAP, SSO, MFA) and ITSM tools for request/incident/change workflows.
    • Develop and maintain standards, runbooks, onboarding documentation, and operational procedures.
    • Perform advanced troubleshooting across authentication, connectivity, agents, vaulting, and platform performance; drive root-cause analysis and problem management.
    • Plan upgrades, patching, and capacity management; ensure high availability, backup/restore, and disaster recovery readiness.
    • Implement security controls aligned to audit and compliance needs; produce evidence and reports for internal/external audits.
    • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in design reviews and operational governance.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs/SLAs and continuously improve PAM service maturity.
Required Qualifications

    • 10+ years of experience in IAM/PAM, with deep hands-on expertise implementing and supporting Delinea platforms.
    • Strong understanding of privileged access concepts: vaulting, password rotation, session management, privilege elevation, least privilege, JIT/JEA, and PAM governance.
    • Experience integrating PAM with Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, and enterprise authentication (SSO/MFA).
    • Strong administration and troubleshooting skills across Windows and Linux/Unix environments.
    • Experience with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to streamline onboarding and operations.
    • Working knowledge of security frameworks and controls (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS) and audit requirements.
    • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to translate business risk into technical controls.
Certifications (Required/Preferred)

    • Delinea product certification(s) (e.g., Secret Server/Platform certification) – preferred.
    • Industry security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Security+ – preferred.
    • Cloud certifications (Azure/AWS/GCP security or architecture) – a plus.
  • Hands on Experience in Delinea for more than 3 years.

Technical Skills

    • Delinea: Secret Server administration (discovery, onboarding, rotation policies, RBAC, workflows, reporting), connectors, and integrations; privileged session management/monitoring (where applicable).
    • Directories & Auth: Active Directory/LDAP, group policy concepts, Kerberos, certificates/PKI basics, SSO/MFA integration patterns.
    • Platforms: Windows Server, Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu), virtualization, and common enterprise middleware.
    • Networking: TCP/IP fundamentals, firewall/proxy concepts, TLS, troubleshooting using logs and packet-level analysis as needed.
    • Automation: PowerShell/Bash/Python; REST API usage for onboarding and reporting automation.
    • ITSM/DevOps: ServiceNow/Jira integration patterns; CI/CD awareness for infrastructure/security automation (nice to have).
Behavioural / Soft Skills

    • Ability to lead technical discussions, workshops, and design reviews with cross-functional teams.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a bias for root-cause resolution.
    • Clear documentation habits and operational discipline.
    • Comfortable working in regulated environments and handling sensitive access processes.
    • Mentoring mindset and ability to guide junior engineers.
Work Model

    • Role based in India; work arrangement (on-site/hybrid/remote) as per business need.
    • May require participation in after-hours/on-call support windows for critical incidents, maintenance, and upgrades.
Additional Notes

This role may involve access to sensitive systems and data; successful candidates may be required to undergo background verification and adhere to information security policies.
