- Direct teams consisting of up to 10 archaeologists on archaeological impact assessments (AIAs and PFRs) for your client projects
- Project manage your client portfolio, deliverables, budgeting, and collaborate with other project managers
- Ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards when surveying, supervising, and producing high quality assessment reports.
- Skillfully incorporate data from the field, RAAD, PARL, and other historic or ethnographic sources into written reports and background assessments.
- Track project budgets and milestones and keep clients up to date on progress.
- Liaise and consult with First Nations and communities on a project basis.
- Foster a positive work environment and collaboration between field crews and community partners. Mentor staff and promote healthy leadership and promote company values.
- Degree in Archaeology or Anthropology or a related field of study.
- 3+ years of experience in supervising or Field Directing field projects.
- Permit Holder or Field Director status within a culture area in BC.
- Demonstrated experience writing and editing technical reports.
- Solid understanding and working knowledge of the BC Heritage Conservation Act and other jurisdictions (Alberta and Yukon are also an asset).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A Positive team attitude.
- Effective time management and setting priorities to meet project deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to build respectful relationships with First Nations communities.
- Proficiency in MS Office, mapping and digital data use (GIS is an asset).
- Valid First Aid, WHMIS and H2S certification.
- Valid BC driver's license.
- Willingness for some travel and spend time away from home throughout BC, Alberta, and the Yukon.
